Speaking in a recent interview, the Right Now crooner said she is open to having a sincere conversation with Tiwa—either privately or publicly—to clear the air, noting that “life is too short to hold onto grudges.”
According to Nivo News, Seyi Shay addressed their long-standing fallout, which many linked to a Pepsi endorsement campaign years ago. She clarified that her involvement in the deal was a corporate decision made by the brand, not a personal act aimed at causing discord.
The singer emphasized that she has never found joy in another woman’s challenges and has always respected Tiwa Savage’s accomplishments in the music industry. She explained that their past disagreements and diss tracks were products of a highly competitive era when both artists were under immense pressure.
Reflecting on the issue, Seyi admitted that better communication could have prevented the clash, saying that with maturity, she has learned to prioritize dialogue over confrontation.
She added that reconciling with Tiwa Savage would not only bring peace but also serve as a powerful message of unity for women in the entertainment industry.
In her words, “That period was purely a brand decision, not a personal one. I have never celebrated another woman’s misfortune. I respect Tiwa’s journey deeply—she’s an incredible artist and a trailblazer. There’s no bad blood on my end, only respect for her contribution to the industry.”
The rift between the two prominent singers dates back to 2021 when a video of their heated confrontation in a Lagos salon surfaced online, sparking widespread reactions across social media.
