Tinubu Support Group Storms Akwa Ibom, Urges Massive Voter Registration Ahead of 2027.

Udoh, a former Chairman of the South South Parliamentary Caucus in the National Assembly, described the exercise as “a stepping stone to a better Nigeria,” emphasizing that the Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) remains the strongest instrument for change and civic participation.
Speaking during a sensitization event in Uyo, Udoh urged citizens to take the process seriously, especially the youth who were not eligible to vote in the last general elections. “If you have your voter’s card, you have your power. Akwa Ibom people must rise and be counted in shaping the destiny of our state and our nation,” he said.
He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state to decentralize the registration process by deploying staff to local wards and polling units to ease the challenges of long queues and improve access for rural dwellers. “INEC must hear the cries of the people. Making registration accessible will ensure greater inclusion,” he noted.
Udoh also urged local government chairmen to support elderly and physically challenged persons by providing necessary logistics to enable their participation in the exercise. “This is not just about elections; it’s about inclusion and participation. No one should be left behind,” he added.
Reaffirming his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno, Udoh said true support for leadership begins with every citizen owning a valid voter’s card. He encouraged political stakeholders and community leaders to lead by example by mobilizing their people for mass registration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He concluded by stressing that the PVC goes beyond its electoral function, representing the voice and democratic power of every Nigerian. “It gives citizens the right to influence leadership at all levels—local, state, and federal. Without it, people forfeit the chance to decide who governs them and the future of their communities,” Udoh said.
