The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Abraham Ingobere, and several lawmakers, including 14 from the PDP and two from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), also followed suit, abandoning their parties. Only three legislators—Godbless Oyinke, Ted Elemoforo, and Wisdom Fafi—reportedly refused to defect, maintaining loyalty to former Governor Henry Seriake Dickson.

The political shift has further widened the gap between Diri’s camp and loyalists of Dickson and Senator Benson Agadaga, who have vowed to remain in the PDP.
