CAN Pays Tribute To Late Evangelist Uma Ukpai, Hails His Six-Decade Ministry.
According to Nivo News, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of renowned evangelist and preacher, Reverend Dr. Uma Ukpai, describing him as a towering figure in the Christian faith whose ministry touched millions of lives across Nigeria and beyond.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a statement signed by CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, the association said Reverend Ukpai, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 80, dedicated more than six decades of his life to spreading the gospel through evangelistic crusades, teachings, and charitable works.
Archbishop Okoh noted that Reverend Ukpai’s unwavering devotion to God and his passion for soul-winning left an indelible mark on the Christian community. He added that generations of believers were transformed by his message of faith, healing, and hope in Christ Jesus.
The statement further extended heartfelt condolences to his wife, Reverend Dr. (Mrs) Philomena Uma Ukpai, the Ukpai family, the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, and the entire Christian community in Nigeria and abroad who were inspired by his ministry.
CAN prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the bereaved family, while expressing hope that Reverend Ukpai’s legacy of faith and service would continue to inspire the Church and the nation. “May his soul rest in perfect peace,” the statement concluded.
