Charity Begins At Home
Sabongida-Ora went agog yesterday as High Chief Lucky Ohimai, fondly called TAREX, the Edo State Coordinator for Asiwaju 2027, officially ignited the movement from his own soil — and it was an earth-shaking experience!
An unprecedented crowd filled the Palatine Garden residence of the APC stalwart, waving flags, singing victory songs, and hailing a man who has built his political identity on impact, empathy, and action.
For TAREX, campaigns aren’t about promises — they’re about presence and proof. Wherever he goes, something changes. From boreholes for communities to grants for traders, from renovated schools to empowerment for women — TAREX never visits a place without leaving a lasting mark.
The crowd’s excitement was unmistakable — faces lit up, voices rose, and hands waved in joy — as TAREX stood before them and promised to carry them along. It wasn’t just a political statement; it was a heartfelt assurance that their voices, needs, and dreams would be part of the journey ahead. That moment captured the spirit of the movement: inclusive, empowering, and deeply rooted in the people.
In his heartfelt remarks, he extended warm appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the far-reaching policies that are now bearing visible fruits nationwide. He also saluted Governor Monday Okpebholo for his developmental vision and people-oriented leadership in Edo State.
The event was a festival of joy — not politics as usual. Guests were lavishly entertained with food, soft drinks, music, laughter, and love. Beautiful wrappers and gifts were shared generously by the Chief himself, creating an atmosphere of family, gratitude, and renewed hope as everyone dined together to celebrate the journey ahead.
As the cheering crowd roared, TAREX raised the tempo with his famous declaration:
> “ASIWAJU 2027 IS SETTLED!”
Edo has spoken. The home fire is burning. The movement is alive — and it started from Sabo!

Atiku Opens Up On ADC 2027 Game Plan, Says Consensus Candidate Comes First.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will first pursue a consensus arrangement before considering a primary election for its 2027 presidential ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Atiku made this known during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday while discussing the party’s leadership and strategy ahead of the next general election.
He said he is open to backing a consensus candidate if that becomes the party’s collective decision, stressing that such support should not be interpreted as stepping aside.
“It is not about stepping aside, but whether I am willing to support, and yes, I will,” Atiku said.
According to him, the ADC’s first priority is to build internal unity and reach an agreement among stakeholders before considering a competitive primary process.
“Our first option will be to work out a consensus. If that doesn’t happen, then of course we will explore other options. And yes, I will support whoever eventually emerges,” he stated.
Atiku also expressed confidence in the political experience within the party, saying he believes a consensus is achievable and may make a full-scale primary contest unnecessary.
“That remains our preferred path. We will go for primaries if consensus fails, but I honestly do not expect it to get to that stage because we are dealing with mature and experienced politicians,” he added.
His comments come amid growing political consultations and coalition talks as parties begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
