News reports that the organisation disclosed her passing in a condolence statement published on Monday.

The Miss Taraba organisers described Williams as a former beauty queen and the organisation’s Assistant Managing Director.

The statement, released on Facebook by Prime Planet Event Managers CEO, Disebe Donga, expressed deep sorrow over her death.

It read: “This heartbreaking loss has left us deeply devastated. She was not just a member of our organisation but an important part of the Prime Planet family whose presence, contributions, and memories will forever remain in our hearts.”

Williams was crowned the 10th Miss Taraba in 2023. In January 2026, she was appointed Assistant Managing Director as part of a new seven-member leadership team introduced by Prime Planet and known as Team 7.

In October 2024, she joined other Taraba pageant winners on a visit to Senator Manu Haruna at the National Assembly in Abuja.

Paying tribute to the late beauty queen, the organisation described her as a valuable member of its team and said her contributions would remain part of its history.

“You will forever remain a part of the Prime Planet family. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten,” the organisation stated.

Prime Planet Event Managers did not disclose the cause of Williams’ death.

The move comes amid disagreements over the composition of an earlier presidential campaign council inaugurated by Governor Ademola Adeleke, who has maintained that his political cooperation with the APC is restricted to supporting Tinubu’s re-election.

In a statement issued on Monday in Osogbo, Osun APC Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, said the new council was formed to strengthen the party’s campaign structure and coordinate its electoral activities across the state.

Lawal explained that the council comprises selected party leaders, candidates and stakeholders who are expected to mobilise support for the APC ahead of the elections.

According to the statement, the party’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, will serve as Director-General of the campaign council, while Lawal will occupy the position of Deputy Director-General.

Oyebamiji’s running mate in the last Osun governorship election, Benjamin Adereti, and Kehinde Olamolu have been appointed Assistant Director-General I and II, respectively.

The three APC senatorial candidates and nine House of Representatives candidates are also members of the council.

Other members include former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Foluke Etteh; former deputy governors Adeleke Adewoyin, Iyiola Omisore, Titi Laoye-Ponnle and Adegboyega Alabi; retired General Alani Akinrinade; Nigeria’s Ambassador to South Africa, Femi Fani-Kayode; and the party’s spokesperson, Kola Olabisi, among others.

The statement read:

“Following the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) by the National Leader of our party and its presidential candidate, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on October 14, 2026 in Abuja, and the subsequent inauguration of the Osun State PCC by the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, on October 22, 2026, we consider it extremely important to therefore bolster the efforts of the PCC to deliver massive votes for the re-election of our President, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in the forthcoming general elections.

“We have therefore carefully selected All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and members in Osun State to actualise our collective desire of ensuring all-round victory for the President as well as our National and State Assembly candidates.

“As a party, we are resolute to work in unison with every member of the state presidential campaign council to deliver on our mandate as we muster concerted efforts to ensure victory for all the National and State Assembly candidates of our great party.”

The establishment of the separate campaign council comes amid controversy surrounding the presidential campaign structure earlier inaugurated by Adeleke.

The governor, who is associated with the Accord Party, was appointed coordinator of the Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council in Osun State.

The October 22 inauguration was attended by several political figures, including APC National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru; former governor, Chief Bisi Akande; and former deputy governors, Senator Iyiola Omisore and Mrs Titi Laoye-Ponnle, among others.

However, some prominent APC figures, including former Osun governor and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola; Oyebamiji; and Lawal, were absent from the event.

Following the inauguration, Lawal expressed dissatisfaction, saying the Osun APC leadership had not been consulted over the composition of the campaign council.

Wike accused his critics of questioning the alliance despite their alleged inability to unite their own families and communities.

Naija News reports that the minister made the remarks on Monday in Abuja during the commissioning of the Gwagwalada Civic Centre and an interactive session with stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gwagwalada Area Council.

He described the Rainbow Coalition, which brings together political stakeholders from both parties, as an alliance established to promote unity, cooperation and development in the FCT.

Wike said, “Some greedy and selfish politicians do not understand what we call unity. They have no capacity to hold their space, they have no capacity to even hold their families, and they have no capacity to hold their communities. So they can open their mouths and say there is no Rainbow Coalition.”

The minister challenged opponents of the alliance to explain why political leaders who previously belonged to different camps could not set aside their disagreements and work together in pursuit of common interests.

He described the political development in Gwagwalada as a move away from confrontation, insisting that the FCT needed cooperation among political actors rather than unnecessary hostilities.

Wike also commended political leaders in the area for putting aside their differences, saying their decision showed that the collective interests of residents should take priority over individual political ambitions.

The minister further urged residents to avoid what he described as the mistakes of the 2023 general elections, calling on them to elect credible representatives to the National Assembly.
