Celebration of a Legacy: Abia Chief Ugochukwu Chikezie To Be Buried Next Month

A Service of Songs was held over the weekend at his residence in Ijaiye Medium Housing Estate, Agege, Lagos, in honour of the late community leader. Another Service of Songs is scheduled to hold on November 6 at his hometown, Ofeiyi, Ogbodiukwu, Umuahia South, preceding his final interment.
Chief Chikezie, who passed away at the age of 76, was widely celebrated for his love, wisdom, and the enduring legacy he left behind. Born on May 2, 1949, in Ogbodi-Ukwu Umudike Ofeiyi, Umuopara, Umuahia South, to Okezie Ogbuji and Mrs. Nwanyi-Ocha Okezie, he had an illustrious educational and professional journey.
He began his education at Seventh-Day Adventist Primary School in Umuahia North and continued to Evangel High School. He later obtained a degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and earned a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Chief Chikezie is survived by his wife, Victoria, along with their children and grandchildren, who continue to uphold his legacy of integrity and service.
