Burna Boy, who has consistently broken barriers with his sound, submitted his latest body of work, No Sign of Weakness, for both Album of the Year and Best Global Album. His chart-topping single Last Last and the collaboration For My Hand were submitted in the Record of the Year and Song of the Year categories, while his track Love is contending in the Best African Music Performance category.
Wizkid also staked his claim with his highly acclaimed project Morayo, entered for Album of the Year and Best Global Album. His single Piece of My Heart was placed in contention for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Additionally, his joint track with Ayra Starr, Gimme Dat, was submitted under Best African Music Performance.
Ayra Starr, fast becoming one of Africa’s most prominent young voices, submitted her hit single Hot Body for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. She also partnered with Wizkid on Gimme Dat, strengthening her presence in the Best African Music Performance category.
The submissions precede the unveiling of official nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards, with strong expectations that the three Nigerian stars will be major contenders, further showcasing the global dominance of African music.
