Adelabu stated that his decision to contest was borne out of genuine love for the poor, the less privileged, and the overall development of Oyo State. Addressing APC leaders, stakeholders, and members in the Oke-Ogun Zone 2—comprising Oorelope, Saki East, Saki West, Olorunsogo, Irepo, and Atisbo Local Government Areas—the Minister assured that if elected, his administration would prioritize growth and progress across the state.

Adelabu, accompanied by notable party leaders including Hon. Abiodun Ambali, Alhaji Wale Sanusi, Alhaji Kola Amoo, and Alhaji Fatai Adesokan, emphasized the importance of unity ahead of the next general elections. He insisted that internal democracy must be upheld, stressing that “no one will impose any candidate” as the party prepares for its upcoming congresses.

Declaring confidence in the APC’s chances, Adelabu asserted that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remains a “tenant in Agodi Government House” and that only a united APC could reclaim Oyo State in 2027.

He also engaged with several APC leaders in Saki, including Alhaji Sulaimon Ajibade, Alhaji Hamed Ayinla, Alhaji Balogun Mayor Alagbada, and Chief Lateef Ajemeje. During the meeting, Hon. Kareem Abisodun, who represents Saki West, Saki East, and Atisbo Federal Constituency, applauded Adelabu’s contributions to the power sector, describing his efforts as remarkable. Abisodun assured that the six local government areas in Oke-Ogun Zone 2 would mobilize massive support for the APC in 2027 to return the party to power in Oyo State.

A comprehensive Nigeria Police Force (NPF) investigation report, finalized on July 24, 2026, has revealed that Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the alleged operator of the non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), misused approximately ₦400 million on personal expenses. Contrary to Adeyemi’s claims that this sum was a facilitation fee to secure a government appointment through Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, police found no evidence of such a transaction. Instead, forensic analysis confirmed forgery of appointment letters and other official documents, with financial records showing the funds were spent on luxury items, vehicles, and relatives. Further compounding his financial situation, Adeyemi allegedly secured an additional ₦100 million loan to maintain his high-end lifestyle.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The investigation also uncovered severe lapses in due diligence across several government bodies, which allowed the fraudulent council to gain official recognition. Five senior public officials—including directors in the offices of the Accountant-General and Head of Service, and staff from the Budget Office and Ministry of Budget—have been identified as having facilitated Adeyemi’s access to government processes. The NPF has recommended the prosecution of these officials, subject to legal counsel, alongside the interrogation of 22 other individuals connected to the case. The findings have been forwarded to the Attorney-General of the Federation and other relevant security and government agencies.
