In a statement issued by his media office on Wednesday, the lawmaker expressed optimism that the nation was entering its 66th year with stronger prospects than in many previous years since independence. According to him, the present administration has laid the groundwork for a stable economy, with citizens set to witness tangible results from recent policy reforms.

He noted that President Tinubu’s Independence Day address had further reassured Nigerians by outlining significant achievements recorded within just over two years of leadership. He emphasized that respected global economic analysts had validated Nigeria’s economic direction, citing steady improvements in the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and a gradual decline in inflation as proof that the economy is rebounding.

“We have passed through the most challenging phase of economic recovery and are now experiencing steady growth. These positive signals show that Nigeria is firmly on the right path,” he remarked.

Hon. Adewale also urged Nigerians to continue rallying behind the Federal Government while challenging state governors to intensify people-focused programmes, enhance infrastructure, and make effective use of the significantly increased allocations available under the Tinubu administration.

“Game Changer! INEC Ordered To Recognize New Party After ‘Unlawful’ Rejection!”.

Published

on

The Federal High Court in Abuja has issued a ruling directing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to resume the registration process for the Access Party (AP) and provide the necessary access code to finalize its registration. Justice Obiora Atuegwu Egwuatu delivered this judgment in a lawsuit initiated by Dr. Audu Bulama-Bukarti and Mevon Samuel on behalf of the proposed party’s members.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

  • The legal action followed INEC’s decision to halt the party’s registration due to disputes regarding its proposed logo, which featured an animated eagle’s head with “Access Party” written across it.

  • In September 2025, INEC claimed the logo was unsuitable and too similar to that of the Democratic Leadership Party (DLP), which is an unregistered association.

Court Findings and Ruling

  • Justice Egwuatu ruled that INEC’s actions were unlawful, inconsistent with the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the Electoral Act of 2022, and constituted an act ultra vires.

  • The court determined that the Access Party’s logo was distinct, suitable, and fully compliant with all legal requirements.

  • Furthermore, the court found that relying on the logo of an unregistered association to block the party’s registration was an arbitrary, unreasonable, and unfair violation of natural justice.

  • Consequently, the court voided INEC’s previous letter and ordered the commission to allow the party to submit all required documentation, including its constitution, manifesto, and leadership records.

Reactions to the Judgment

  • Dr. Bulama-Bukarti, the pro tem National Chairman, hailed the ruling as a victory for democratic rights, asserting that political participation should not be suppressed by bureaucratic obstacles. He called on INEC to comply immediately to ensure the party can participate in the 2027 general elections.

  • Lead counsel Jude Akpevweoghene-Daniel stated that the judgment reinforces the rule of law by confirming that administrative bodies must operate within statutory boundaries and cannot impose unauthorized barriers to political registration.

“The Gloves Are Off! Phrank Shaibu Humiliates Babachir Lawal Over Power Loss!”

Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Public Communication to Atiku Abubakar, has rejected accusations from former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Babachir Lawal, who alleged that the primary election resulting in Atiku’s selection as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the 2027 general elections was fraudulent.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

While Lawal claimed that the ADC primary was rigged by Atiku’s supporters, Shaibu defended the integrity of the process during a Wednesday interview on Channels Television:

  • Shaibu asserted that the election was credible and suggested that critics look at the margins in regions won by other contestants, such as Rotimi Amaechi, to see that the results reflected their respective strongholds.

  • He emphasized that the responsibility for proving these allegations of irregularity lies with Lawal.

  • Shaibu attributed Atiku’s victory to his status as the most popular contestant among the field, which included Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen.

Comparing Lawal’s reaction to a tantrum, Shaibu stated, “Babachir reminds me of a baby who is yanked off her mother’s breast while suckling. It is like a deprived suckling; definitely, the baby will throw tantrums”. Shaibu further noted that Lawal had admitted to working for his preferred candidate, Hayatu-Deen, during the show.

Keyamo provided the following details regarding the event and the government’s subsequent response:

  • Regulatory Enforcement: Upon the aircraft’s arrival in Lagos, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) grounded the jet to facilitate an investigation. Additionally, the regulator has suspended the operator’s Permit for Non-Commercial Flight (PNCF) and is currently reviewing all relevant maintenance, operational, and flight records.

  • Ongoing Investigations: The NCAA is collaborating with the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) and the aircraft operator to determine the full circumstances of the unauthorized departure and the initial emergency landing.
