In a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti, the hospital’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Tunde Olofintila, revealed that the delivery was made possible through advanced reproductive technology and comprehensive antenatal care offered at the hospital’s Fertility Centre.
Chief Medical Director, Dr. Akinola Akinmade, commended the teamwork behind the medical breakthrough, noting that collaboration between Olive Hospital and ABUAD Multi-System Hospital played a pivotal role. He emphasized that the success demonstrated how modern fertility treatments and quality obstetric services could ensure safe outcomes even in high-risk pregnancies.
Dr. Akinmade further highlighted that the hospital’s Fertility Centre, equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and specialist expertise, was capable of handling complex maternal cases locally, eliminating the need for medical tourism.
