Published

on

According to Nivo News, Nigeria’s crude oil output has reached a six-month peak, averaging 1.71 million barrels per day in July 2025, based on data released by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). The figure represents a 9.9 per cent increase compared to the same period last year, moving the country closer to its fiscal and OPEC production targets.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Commission disclosed on Thursday that the total output comprises 1.507 million barrels per day of crude oil and 204,864 barrels per day of condensates. This marks a consistent rise from the 1.69 million barrels per day recorded in June 2025 and a significant improvement over the 1.56 million barrels per day produced in July 2024.

NUPRC attributed the steady growth to enhanced security measures, stronger regulatory oversight, and operational efficiencies across the upstream oil sector. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to creating an investment-friendly environment aimed at sustaining output growth.

“We are determined to expand Nigeria’s energy production frontier,” the Commission stated, adding that ongoing engagements with major industry players are designed to attract new capital inflows and support existing operators. The statement followed a recent meeting between the NUPRC Chief Executive, Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, and Nicolas Terraz, President of Exploration and Production at Total Energies, where investment opportunities were a key focus.

The Commission further highlighted its success in curbing crude oil theft and improving security around critical infrastructure, describing the production gains as proof of its robust regulatory strategy. Komolafe reiterated the government’s goal of raising production to 2.1 million barrels per day by 2026, noting that the latest figures indicate steady progress toward that target.

Production data also showed strong performance at major crude oil terminals, with Forcados leading July output at 9.04 million barrels, while Bonny terminal recorded a 12.7 per cent month-on-month increase. Industry observers believe these trends strengthen Nigeria’s position as a competitive player in the global oil and gas market.

Explosive Revelation: Trump’s Former Aide Claims 199 Jihadists Eliminated In Single Secret Nigeria Operation!.

Sebastian Gorka, a former deputy assistant to President Donald Trump and senior director for counterterrorism at the National Security Council, recently revealed that US forces successfully neutralized 199 jihadists during a single operation in Nigeria.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Gorka shared these details during an interview with Marissa Streit, CEO of the conservative media outlet PragerU. Highlighting the Trump administration’s approach to counterterrorism, Gorka stated:

  • The President is focused on neutralizing threats to Americans and those targeting Christians, rather than engaging in nation-building.

  • He personally monitored the operation from the Situation Room, describing the experience as “real” and similar to a “Tom Clancy movie”.

  • The strike resulted in 199 confirmed enemy casualties, which Gorka identified as the largest number of enemies killed in action in a single operation since the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

In addition to the casualties, the operation yielded a significant intelligence breakthrough:

  • US forces reportedly recovered an massive amount of electronic equipment, requiring an additional plane to transport the materials home.

  • Gorka noted this was the largest haul of enemy electronics since 9/11 and is currently being analyzed by experts to decode ISIS communication and operational strategies.

It remains unconfirmed if Gorka’s account refers to the May 15 joint US-Nigeria operation that targeted ISIS leader Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, or the May 30 operation against ISWAP fighters. President Bola Tinubu previously confirmed that “several” ISIS lieutenants were killed alongside Al-Minuki during the May 15 mission. Gorka further explained that Africa has become a focal point for jihadist activity due to its growing Christian population and the exploitation of governance weaknesses by extremist groups in the Sahel.
