“Phyna Explodes Online, Curses Out Critic Over Dangote Truck Protest Drama”

Published

Reality TV personality Josephine Otabor, widely known as Phyna, has issued a scathing response to a critic who faulted her for not participating in protests against Dangote trucks in Edo State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Reports indicate that activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly called Verydarkman, recently led demonstrations in Edo to condemn repeated accidents involving Dangote trucks, which have allegedly left victims without compensation or medical support.

Phyna, who previously called out the company after her sister lost a leg in one of the accidents, faced backlash from a social media user accusing her of being absent during the protest in Auchi. The user claimed she had been vocal online but failed to appear when activists took to the streets.

In her response, Phyna explained she could not abandon her sister’s care to join the protest and lashed out at the critic in harsh terms. The former BBNaija winner stressed that her priority remains securing justice for her sister and other victims rather than appearing at demonstrations.

The online exchange has sparked further debate over whether celebrities should physically participate in advocacy movements or focus on private efforts to seek redress.

“Toughest Year Of My Life: James Maddison Opens Up On Dark Days Of Injury And Fatherhood Chaos”.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison has described the past year as the most difficult period of his life, balancing a severe knee injury with an expanding family that left him and his partner caring for five children aged four and under.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The 29-year-old playmaker missed the majority of the 2025–2026 campaign after sustaining a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in August 2025. Amidst his recovery, his partner gave birth to their second set of twins. Maddison noted that navigating the household chaos provided a much-needed mental distraction from the physical strain of long-term rehabilitation.

Family and Recovery Challenges

Reflecting on the ordeal, Maddison shared: “I needed that positive distraction of my partner being pregnant and having to be there for her and forget about myself, even though I was going through a traumatic experience through my knee.”

The extended absence also took an emotional toll on his eldest son, Leo, who at three and a half struggled to recognize his active playing career. Maddison hopes to return to regular action so his son can watch him play on the pitch rather than sitting at home with a recovery machine on his knee.

Team Outlook and Return

Maddison made his long-awaited return against Leeds on May 11 after 375 days on the sidelines, watching closely as Spurs secured Premier League survival on the final day. He praised head coach Roberto De Zerbi for instilling a fresh tactical mindset and lifting squad morale upon taking charge in March.

Having missed pre-season programs as the club cautiously manages his integration, Maddison is eager to contribute heavily to the new campaign. Tottenham opens its Premier League season away at Brentford today at 5:30 p.m. WAT.
