BBNaija Pays Respect With One-Minute Silence For Late Ex-Housemates
Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) recently paid tribute to three of its former housemates who have passed away. During Monday night’s show, current contestants gathered as images of the late stars—Francisca Owumi, Joseph Ada, and Rico Swavey—were displayed on screen. Francisca Owumi, the runner-up of the show’s inaugural 2006 season, was celebrated for her lively spirit and passed away in 2024 after an illness. Joseph Ada, also a participant in the first season, died in May 2023 following health complications. Rico Swavey, born Patrick Fakoya, who competed in the 2018 Double Wahala season, tragically lost his life in 2022 in a car accident.
In a related entertainment update, Anita Brown, alleged to be the baby mama of Afrobeats star Davido, sparked social media discussion with a post addressing the perceived inauthentic lifestyles of some celebrities. While she did not mention any individual, the post came shortly after Davido’s wedding to Chioma on August 9, 2025, in Miami, an event attended by top entertainment figures and high-profile dignitaries.
