Published

According to Nivo News, Nigerian music video director ThankGod Omori Jesam, popularly known as TG Omori, has recounted how the church played a pivotal role in shaping his career in filmmaking. In a post shared on Twitter, Omori explained that his journey into directing began during church drama nights, which provided him with a platform to discover and hone his acting and directing skills at a time when his neighbourhood had no social clubs or community theatres.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Omori revealed that the church not only offered him opportunities but also encouraged him to pursue filmmaking as a career. Defending the place of religion in people’s lives, he stressed that while some may focus solely on economic success, others find meaning and fulfilment in spirituality. He added that life experiences often draw individuals closer to faith and that such personal choices deserve respect.

In his words, life is not solely about the pursuit of money or economic power, as many have found peace in religion without any interest in worldly wealth. Citing examples from other cultures, he argued that a billion religious people could not all be wrong in their beliefs. He urged critics to “live and let live” and give the church “breathing space.”

Omori disclosed that his family’s church offerings while growing up were modest, insisting that the church’s impact on his life far outweighed any financial contributions. He expressed unwavering devotion to his Christian faith, affirming that Jesus Christ will forever remain his Lord and personal Saviour, and that he would never be “too cool” to proclaim God’s goodness and mercy.

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed satisfaction with the Supreme Court’s judgment on the leadership dispute within the African Democratic Congress (ADC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

reports that in its ruling on Thursday, the apex court affirmed the faction of the ADC led by former Senate President, David Mark.

The Supreme Court also set aside an earlier order directing the party to maintain the status quo ante bellum while the leadership crisis was being resolved.

In a unanimous decision delivered by a five-member panel headed by Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba, the court held that the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal exceeded its jurisdiction by issuing the order after it had already dismissed the case brought before it by one of the factions.

Reacting to the judgment, Atiku congratulated David Mark on the outcome but cautioned that the ADC must not become complacent, stressing that significant challenges still lie ahead.

He said the ruling should be seen as a victory for Nigerians and urged supporters of the party to remain committed, noting that the struggle for national rescue is ongoing.

“Even as we welcome the Supreme Court’s firm affirmation of David Mark and the leadership of our great party, the African Democratic Congress, let no one be lulled into complacency. The road ahead remains long in our cause to take back and rescue our country.

“This victory belongs to Nigerians, the courageous millions who refuse to surrender their future. We thank them, and we urge them to remain steadfast, because the struggle is far from over. As we press on, let this truth guide us: eternal vigilance is the price of liberty,” he said.

The Anambra State Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Charles Anueyiagu, has described a possible joint presidential ticket between former candidates Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso as a strong political alliance capable of driving national renewal and transformation in Nigeria.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

reports that Anueyiagu made this statement on Thursday during a press briefing in Awka, where he also called on both the Obidient and Kwankwasiyya movements to merge their structures into a unified platform to boost their chances in future elections.

He argued that both movements are driven by a shared goal of promoting good governance, adding that a merger would strengthen their political influence across the northern and southern regions ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to him, such an alliance would mark a shift away from what he described as a failing governance system that has not met the expectations of Nigerians.

Anueyiagu also referenced the 2023 presidential election, noting that the combined votes of Obi and Kwankwaso would have created a significantly stronger electoral force.

He said, “The Obidient and Kwankwasian movements are strong independent bodies serving the same purpose to give Nigeria good governance.

“In the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi scored over eight million votes, while Rabiu Kwankwaso recorded over one million votes. If combined, the figures present a formidable force.”

He added that lessons from the last election had strengthened supporters’ determination, expressing optimism that a united front would yield better political results in the future.

Anueyiagu stated, “The experience of the 2023 election has taught us valuable lessons. I believe that bringing these forces together will help salvage the country and deliver positive results.”

He further emphasised that national renewal requires unity beyond ethnic and regional divisions, urging Nigerians to collectively pursue accountable leadership and improved governance.

According to him, “National rebirth is not the responsibility of one tribe but a collective duty. Nigerians must come together to confront hardship, restore accountability, and build a better future.”
