Transfer War Erupts: Lookman Refuses to Train in Explosive Atalanta Standoff!
Ademola Lookman’s future at Atalanta has taken a dramatic turn, as the Nigerian international failed to report for training on Monday amid mounting transfer tensions.
According to multiple sources, Lookman has officially submitted a transfer request, expressing his firm desire to leave the Serie A club this summer. He claims that Atalanta is now reneging on a gentleman’s agreement that would have allowed him to move if a suitable offer came in.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The player revealed that Atalanta had promised to let him go—but only if the interest came from a top club outside Italy. However, tensions flared after the club rejected a €42 million bid plus €3 million in add-ons from domestic rivals Inter Milan.
Renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano confirmed via that Lookman intentionally skipped training in protest over the blocked move. “Ademola Lookman didn’t show up for training today as he keeps insisting on the plan to leave Atalanta,” Romano reported. “Atalanta maintains their position; no way to let him go for €42 million plus €3 million, a proposal rejected last week. No fresh bid from Inter so far.”
The standoff has reportedly left Lookman disillusioned, especially with Atalanta’s unwillingness to sanction a move to another Serie A club—drastically limiting his transfer options.
Despite the tension, Atalanta continues to hold firm on their valuation of the winger, buoyed by his stellar performances last season, including a heroic display in the UEFA Europa League final. Inter remain interested, but have yet to table an improved offer.
