Oba Ladoja made the assurance during a courtesy visit by the Asipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, to his residence in Lagos.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Adeola Oloko, on Monday, Ladoja emphasized that his temporary absence from Ibadan at the time of the demise of the 43rd Olubadan, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, did not hinder his preparedness to assume the mantle of leadership and sustain the traditional structure.
“There will be no delay in addressing all pending vacancies in the Olubadan succession line,” the former governor of Oyo State affirmed.
Ladoja paid glowing tribute to the late monarch, describing him as a man of honour whose reign left a lasting impression on Ibadanland.
“Kabiyesi Olakulehin lived a meaningful life and served his people with distinction,” he said.
In his remarks during the visit, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi extended his condolences over the passing of the former Olubadan and expressed his unwavering loyalty to Oba Ladoja.
He also pledged full support for the incoming Olubadan, as Ibadan’s traditional leadership prepares for a new chapter under Ladoja’s stewardship.
The visit is viewed as a strategic move to reinforce unity and stability within the Ibadan traditional council ahead of Ladoja’s formal installation.
