History Beckons!’ – Oluremi Tinubu Sends Powerful Charge to Super Falcons Before Epic Final

The highly anticipated clash will hold at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, with kick‑off set for 9 p.m. Nigerian time.
Head coach Justin Madugu’s side is on the brink of making history with a record‑extending 10th WAFCON title. The Falcons have enjoyed an impressive run so far in the tournament, recording four wins and one draw, scoring 11 goals and conceding only once on their road to the final.
In a goodwill message shared via the team’s official X handle, the First Lady hailed the players and technical crew for their outstanding performances so far and urged them to finish strong.
“My beautiful and lovely Super Falcons, I congratulate you and the officials on qualifying for the final of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations,” she said.
“I commend your team spirit, determination, and professionalism shown in all your matches so far. You are shining examples to girls in Nigeria and across Africa.
“As you step out for the final match, I pray that God crowns your efforts with resounding victory. Make us proud, our worthy ambassadors and champions. Nigerians and I are waiting to receive you with the trophy in your hands.”
Nigeria began their campaign with back‑to‑back wins over Tunisia and Botswana, followed by a draw against Algeria. They then thrashed Zambia 5–0 in the quarter‑finals before edging South Africa 2–1 in the semi‑finals.
Meanwhile, there are injury concerns over forward Francisca Ordega, who missed the semi‑final after sustaining a knock in training. The Al‑Ittihad Ladies star, who has featured just once in this year’s competition, is hoping to be fit enough to chase her fifth WAFCON title.
Tonight’s final also rekindles memories of the 2022 semi‑final, when Morocco eliminated Nigeria on penalties. History beckons once again
