Red Chamber Tension! Senate Spokesman Dismisses Natasha’s Return With Scathing Remark”
Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, has taken a swipe at suspended Kogi Central lawmaker Senator Natasha Akpoti‑Uduaghan, accusing her of turning her attempted return to the Senate into a mere content‑creation spectacle.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television on Tuesday, Adaramodu dismissed her dramatic appearance as nothing more than political theatrics.
“The National Assembly has serious roles to play. We are legislators, not spectators sitting down to watch skit‑making or content creation,” he said.
“From the start, I’ve said all these episodes are about content creation. Now that the content has been created, it’s degenerating into a season film. We are lawmakers, not actors—this is not what we are here for.”
Adaramodu further argued that even with a court ruling in her favour, due process must be followed for enforcement.
“When any litigant gets a judgment, the individual cannot enforce it personally. Court bailiffs are responsible for serving and executing such orders as prescribed by the court,” he explained.
“Nigerians can clearly see this is another round of skit‑making and a continuation of the content‑creation drama by our colleague.”
Akpoti‑Uduaghan has maintained that a court nullified her suspension and affirmed her right to resume legislative duties. However, the Senate has yet to officially acknowledge the judgment or issue a formal reinstatement.
