According to reports, the actress made this known in a heartfelt Instagram post, explaining that while she usually steers clear of politics, she is ready to make an exception for Obi.

She stated that her decision stems from a desire to secure a better future for her unborn children, her family, and her entire generation.

Iheme also weighed in on the criticisms often directed at Obi, suggesting that the intensity of the attacks shows he is “doing something right.”

She wrote:

“I don’t usually do this, but I will campaign for Peter Obi anytime, any day. If there’s anywhere I need to register for his campaign, please count me in. I will do it for free—for my unborn children, for my family, for my generation. Why the hate? That means he’s doing something right. I don’t do politics, but I will involve myself 100% when the time comes. #dropmic”

Meanwhile, fellow Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has stirred reactions by calling for a Nigerian president from the South-East in the next election.

In a video posted on Instagram, Edochie urged Nigerians to embrace fairness and regional balance, even though he has been a vocal supporter of President Bola Tinubu and has repeatedly urged citizens to remain patient with Tinubu’s leadership and ongoing reforms.
