He made the statement while receiving a delegation of All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from the Daura, Mai’adua, and Sandamu Federal Constituencies, who visited him to formally present Yusuf Buhari as an aspirant from the area.

Governor Radda explained that his position was rooted in gratitude, noting that he has long benefited from the influence and goodwill of the late former president since 2015.

“I can never betray Buhari’s family. I have been a beneficiary of his good reputation since the days of the CPC till now. Buhari is late, may his soul rest in peace. I wish Yusuf well in his political journey,” he said.

He further stressed that within a democratic system, the All Progressives Congress (APC) cannot restrict anyone from contesting simply because Yusuf Buhari is in the race, adding that competition is a normal part of politics.

Radda advised Yusuf to focus on building his own identity and reputation as he begins his political journey.

In his remarks, Yusuf Buhari thanked the delegation for their support and assured them that he would not disappoint their expectations, promising to justify the confidence reposed in him.

According to a statement issued in Awka by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, officers recovered eight JAMB examination slips from the suspect, along with an exercise book containing the names and examination numbers of several candidates. He was also unable to properly explain how he obtained the documents.

The suspect was reportedly arrested following a tip-off from a cyber café in Atani, where he had been collecting 2026 JAMB examination slips on behalf of students who came to check their examination centres.

He was said to have falsely presented himself as a JAMB 2026 coordinator in Atani. However, staff at the cyber café grew suspicious of his activities and alerted the police. On the arrival of operatives, he attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended.

Preliminary investigations have commenced, and the case is expected to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka for further action.

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Ikioye Orutugu, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to safeguarding the integrity of public examinations, while urging residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to security agencies.

In an interview with TVC, Joshua said his concern is that consistently excelling in such roles could lead filmmakers to repeatedly cast him in similar characters, something he is trying to avoid as he builds his acting profile.

He noted that he is intentional about the direction of his career and the kind of on-screen identity he develops.

“If I’m good at it, producers will likely give me the same role over and over again, and I don’t want to kiss half the girls in Nollywood,” he said.

Meanwhile, fellow Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has offered a different perspective on the ongoing debate around intimacy scenes in the industry.

Speaking in an interview with Punch, she said kissing and hugging scenes should not be treated differently from other forms of acting, stressing that professionalism requires actors to fully enter and exit their roles.

According to her, intimacy scenes are purely performative and carry no real emotions once filming is over.

“As soon as the director says ‘cut,’ everyone goes back to normal,” she said.
