License Revolution: FRSC’s New Push to Clean Up Anambra Driving Schools and Speed Up Processing
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra State, led by Sector Commander Joyce Alexander, has unveiled a fresh initiative aimed at improving standards in certified driving schools while ensuring a more transparent and efficient process for acquiring driver’s licenses.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Sector Public Education Officer, Margaret Onabe, the Command—in collaboration with the Driving School Proprietors Association of Anambra State—has produced and distributed banners displaying the names of FRSC-accredited driving schools across the state.
Onabe noted that the banners will be mounted at all driver’s license centres to help guide the public and prospective drivers toward registered and approved training institutions. The initiative, she said, is designed to serve several vital purposes.
“These include public sensitisation on officially recognised driving schools, discouraging reliance on illegal or substandard institutions, and enhancing compliance with the Driving School Standardisation Programme,” she explained.
She added that the effort is also intended to reduce the use of fake or falsified training certificates by increasing public awareness of legitimate training sources. Additionally, the initiative seeks to foster greater professionalism and accountability within the driving school sector in Anambra State.
“With this initiative, the FRSC Anambra Command is reaffirming its commitment to upholding the credibility of the National Driver’s License Scheme and advancing broader road safety goals,” Onabe stated.
The Command expressed optimism that the programme would significantly help to minimise road traffic crashes and contribute to safer road usage across the state.
