Combined troops of Operation Hadin Kai have neutralized no fewer than 24 Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters in a series of coordinated offensives across Sambisa Forest, the Timbuktu Triangle, Mandara Mountains, and other notorious hideouts between July 4 and 9, 2025.

According to NIVONEWS, five of those killed were logistics couriers ambushed during nighttime operations while attempting to deliver supplies to insurgent camps. The offensive, driven by military intelligence, also resulted in the recovery of firearms, ammunition, motorcycles, bicycles, and other logistics items including food condiments, footwear, and uniforms used by terrorists.

Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, said the operations were executed in synergy with the Nigerian Air Force, the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), and local hunters, relying heavily on actionable intelligence. According to NIVONEWS, the engagements reflect a broader military strategy to suffocate remaining terrorist strongholds and disrupt logistics channels critical to insurgent survival.

On July 4, troops on ambush at Platari intercepted insurgents riding from Sambisa towards the Timbuktu axis, killing three on the spot. In another operation at Komala, one terrorist was neutralized and critical supplies—motorcycles, pesticide sprayers, and food items—were seized.

Later that same night, in Kawuri (Konduga LGA), troops eliminated two logistics couriers and confiscated salt, detergents, and seasoning, believed to be bound for insurgent camps. On July 5, troops thwarted a terrorist infiltration attempt into the Madarari IDP camp, killing one and recovering rounds of ammunition. A subsequent operation at Leno Kura saw three insurgents gunned down in a fierce firefight.

On July 6, an ambush along Ngoshe-Gava and Amuda-Gava axes claimed another insurgent’s life, while the following day, July 7, two more logistics couriers were eliminated near Sabsawa village. The troops recovered bicycles, torches, batteries, slippers, and other supply items.

According to NIVONEWS, a major joint raid backed by airstrikes on July 8 at Bula Marwa—a well-known ISWAP/JAS enclave—led to the destruction of terrorist infrastructure and the neutralization of one fighter. Another clearance operation at Pambula village in Madagali LGA, Adamawa State, saw one insurgent killed and four motorcycles recovered.

Troops pushed deeper into Bula Marwa the same day, killing another terrorist and destroying enemy facilities. On July 9, combined forces stormed Tangalanga and Bula Marwa again, killing three insurgents and seizing six AK-47 rifles, 47 magazines, and 90 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.

Meanwhile, ambushes at Ngailda, Manjim, and Wulle villages led to the elimination of six more terrorists and the recovery of additional motorcycles and bicycles.

These sustained victories, according to NIVONEWS, underscore the relentless pressure Operation Hadin Kai is mounting to dismantle terrorist networks in the North-East and pave the way for the return of peace, resettlement, and economic recovery across the region.
