Transfer War: Arsenal Deal Hammer Blow to Spurs in Kudus Pursuit
Tottenham Hotspur are targeting Mohammed Kudus this summer in a bid to strengthen their attacking lineup.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of West Ham star Mohammed Kudus may be under serious threat — and ironically, Arsenal might be the ones helping their rivals, Chelsea, outmuscle them.
According to TBR Football, Spurs have already entered advanced talks for the 24-year-old Ghanaian forward, with manager Ange Postecoglou identifying Kudus as a key attacking target for the summer.
However, Chelsea are now lurking — and growing increasingly confident. Enzo Maresca’s side have made several approaches involving player-plus-cash offers, including names like Robert Sanchez and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, though West Ham rejected those proposals.
The latest twist? Arsenal’s bid for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, reportedly worth around £50 million, could directly fund the Blues’ own swoop for Kudus. With West Ham valuing Kudus slightly north of £60 million, offloading Madueke would give Chelsea the financial muscle to meet that price.
Despite already sealing deals for Joao Pedro from Brighton and Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea are still in the market for attacking reinforcements — and Kudus is firmly on their radar.
History Repeating Itself?
For Tottenham fans, it’s déjà vu. Chelsea have a well-documented history of snatching Spurs’ transfer targets. Eden Hazard, Willian, and more recently Tosin Adarabioyo all slipped through Tottenham’s fingers after late Chelsea interventions.
Willian even had a medical at Spurs before Chelsea swooped in with a better offer in 2013. And now, history could repeat itself once more with Kudus — unless Tottenham act fast.
With both Chelsea and Arsenal potentially influencing the outcome, Spurs could find themselves once again outpaced in the transfer market.
