Power Shift Plot: Tinubu Allegedly Set to Sacrifice Ganduje, Shettima for Kwankwaso’s Return!

Published

A fresh wave of political intrigue has emerged following the abrupt resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with Buba Galadima, a close ally of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, suggesting there may be deeper political maneuverings at play.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking in an interview with Saturday PUNCH, Galadima said that while he had not received formal confirmation of Kwankwaso’s alleged plans to defect to the APC, he was aware of a high-level meeting involving APC stakeholders and the presidency—one that may have sealed Ganduje’s ouster and possibly targeted Vice President Kashim Shettima.

“I’m not aware of any defection plan,” Galadima said. “But I do know there’s personal animosity between Kwankwaso and Ganduje. I’m also aware that a meeting was held three days ago involving APC leadership and the presidency, where it was agreed that both Ganduje and Shettima should be sacrificed to make room for a new political order within the party and government.”

The explosive claim adds further complexity to the evolving political landscape as Nigeria heads towards the 2027 general elections, especially amid speculation about the future of Vice President Shettima, who has largely remained silent during the party’s recent internal shakeups.

When contacted, New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) spokesman, Ladipo Johnson, declined to confirm or deny the rumoured defection, saying, “I’m not aware of such a move and can’t comment further at this time.”

Kwankwaso, who ran for president under the NNPP in the 2023 elections, has yet to publicly address the reports of his potential return to the APC.

2027: Gov Sule Sparks Buzz, Reveals Who He Wants As Nasarawa’s Next Governor.

Published

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has openly backed Aliyu Wadada as his preferred governorship candidate under the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Sule made this known during a meeting with political appointees at the Government House in Lafia, a move seen as an early signal of political succession plans in the state.

Wadada, who currently represents Nasarawa West in the 10th Senate, recently dumped the Social Democratic Party for the APC, further fuelling speculations about his governorship ambition.

The governor also faulted public officials who parade routine duties like salary payments, road construction and provision of basic amenities as landmark achievements.

Speaking on Wednesday at the 59th inaugural lecture of Nasarawa State University, Sule said governance should go beyond basic responsibilities and focus on policies that directly improve people’s lives.

According to him, leaders must think beyond conventional projects and pursue solutions that bring lasting impact to citizens.

Using his administration as an example, Sule recalled how frequent fire outbreaks at a major market used to force the government into repeated relief payouts to traders.

He said rather than continuing temporary interventions, his government chose to build a modern market to permanently tackle the problem, adding that there has been no report of another fire incident since the reconstruction.

Sule also highlighted the construction of a bridge in Auta near Keffi, which he said has greatly reduced years of devastating flooding in the area.

At the event, Ike Neliaku praised Sule’s development strides, especially road and infrastructure projects across key parts of the state.

Also speaking, Emmanuel Dandaura stressed the need for institutions to align communication with performance, warning that failure to do so could erode public trust.
