Taking to his official account on Tuesday evening, Simon shared a heartfelt farewell message in French, accompanied by an emotional 75-second video montage capturing memorable moments from his time at the club.
“Six seasons of giving everything with my heart—sprints, crosses, goosebumps, and unforgettable memories,” Simon wrote. “Thank you FC Nantes, thank you Beaujoire. I leave with pride, carrying a piece of this club in my heart.”
The 29-year-old initially joined Nantes on loan from Spanish side Levante in 2019, with the move made permanent in 2020. Over the years, he established himself as a club mainstay, registering 201 appearances, 37 goals, and 42 assists.
Simon played a critical role in helping Nantes stay afloat in Ligue 1 and was a key figure in their 2022 Coupe de France triumph and the return to the final in 2023.
His standout 2024–2025 season saw him notch eight goals and ten assists, helping Nantes secure a 13th-place finish in the top flight.
According to reports from L’Équipe and Foot Mercato, Simon underwent a medical on Tuesday ahead of completing a €7 million transfer to Paris FC, where he is set to sign a three-year deal.
His arrival is seen as a major statement by Paris FC, who are preparing for their first top-flight campaign in 46 years.
Despite interest from notable clubs including Stade Rennes, Olympique Marseille, and English Premier League side Everton, Simon chose Paris FC as the next chapter of his career.
The deal is expected to inject valuable experience into the newly promoted side and underscores their ambition to compete at the highest level.
Sources also indicate that Paris FC are in talks to sign DR Congo international Chancel Mbemba, whose contract with Marseille expires at the end of June, as the club aims to strengthen its squad ahead of a historic Ligue 1 return.

Atiku Opens Up On ADC 2027 Game Plan, Says Consensus Candidate Comes First.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will first pursue a consensus arrangement before considering a primary election for its 2027 presidential ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Atiku made this known during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday while discussing the party’s leadership and strategy ahead of the next general election.
He said he is open to backing a consensus candidate if that becomes the party’s collective decision, stressing that such support should not be interpreted as stepping aside.
“It is not about stepping aside, but whether I am willing to support, and yes, I will,” Atiku said.
According to him, the ADC’s first priority is to build internal unity and reach an agreement among stakeholders before considering a competitive primary process.
“Our first option will be to work out a consensus. If that doesn’t happen, then of course we will explore other options. And yes, I will support whoever eventually emerges,” he stated.
Atiku also expressed confidence in the political experience within the party, saying he believes a consensus is achievable and may make a full-scale primary contest unnecessary.
“That remains our preferred path. We will go for primaries if consensus fails, but I honestly do not expect it to get to that stage because we are dealing with mature and experienced politicians,” he added.
His comments come amid growing political consultations and coalition talks as parties begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
