In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the governor reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to serving the people of Katsina.

According to Mohammed, Governor Radda made the clarification during an event hosted by the Dutsin-Ma Development Forum on Tuesday.

Addressing the swirling rumours, Radda said, “I’ve seen posters and messages suggesting that I’m seeking another position. Let me be clear: I asked for your mandate to serve as Governor of Katsina State, and that is the only mandate I am focused on.”

He added, “I am not behind any campaign for another office. My responsibility is to honour the trust you have placed in me.”

It’s worth noting that the Katsina State House of Assembly had previously endorsed Radda for a second term—a move that was echoed by the state’s senators and members of the House of Representatives.

He further stated that incentive packages would be awarded to teams that perform exceptionally, particularly in handling exam materials and submitting timely reports.
