Gunners Go All In: £100m Star in Arsenal’s Crosshairs as Talks Heat Up
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to make a significant financial commitment to lure Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes to the Emirates, according to journalist Graeme Bailey.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The Gunners are said to be actively pursuing a summer move for the Brazilian international and are willing to offer him a lucrative contract exceeding £300,000 per week, which would place him among the club’s highest earners.
Rodrygo’s future at the Bernabéu has come under scrutiny following the appointment of Xabi Alonso as Real Madrid’s new head coach. While Alonso is reportedly open to working with the 24-year-old, the arrival of additional attacking talent and increased competition for places could limit his playing time next season.
Sources suggest Arsenal are ready to hand Rodrygo a guaranteed starting role, primarily on the left wing—a position the player is believed to favour.
According to Bailey, Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has been doing “a lot” of groundwork in recent weeks, including preliminary discussions with Rodrygo’s representatives.
Real Madrid, while valuing Rodrygo at around £100 million, are reportedly willing to let him go for a fee in the region of £70 million, although they would also be content to retain him as part of Alonso’s attacking options.
Rodrygo, who signed for Real Madrid from Santos in 2019, is currently under contract until June 2028. He has made significant contributions to the team, but the club’s evolving tactical direction could influence his decision to seek a fresh challenge.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s pursuit of Nico Williams appears to have hit a dead end, with the Athletic Club and Spain winger believed to favour a move to Barcelona, who are expected to trigger his release clause in the coming weeks.
Arsenal remain determined to reinforce Mikel Arteta’s attacking line-up this summer and view Rodrygo as a marquee addition capable of elevating their title credentials.
