In a press release issued over the weekend, dated June 21, 2025, Lady Jemila Dorcas Sule announced that she had secured the endorsement of over one million influential women and grassroots mobilizers from across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones to establish a new platform in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The group, which will be officially launched before the end of 2025, is named CW-for-Tinubu 2027 and operates under the motto: “Total support for good governance and exemplary service delivery.” According to her, both the name and motto are strategic tools aimed at mobilizing women and women-led groups within Nigeria and the diaspora.

Lady Sule, the convener of the women’s coalition, also revealed that the group will soon unveil its patrons and matrons, including select APC governors, notable business figures, and philanthropists. A world press conference will follow to provide deeper insights into why President Tinubu is their preferred candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

Explaining the rationale behind the coalition’s support, Lady Sule stated:
“President Tinubu is a game changer who genuinely means well for Nigeria. In just two years, he has shown remarkable dedication to transformation and development.”

She went on to highlight several of Tinubu’s key achievements:
“Within this short span, he has commissioned the Lagos-Calabar coastal superhighway (currently in progress), initiated over 440 road projects, and established five regional development commissions—compared to only two before his tenure. He has also improved workers’ welfare by introducing a new minimum wage of ₦70,000, bolstered national revenue through four landmark tax reforms, and launched a presidential loan and grant scheme for students.”

In conclusion, Lady Sule expressed confidence in the President’s leadership:
“President Tinubu has assured us he will not let Nigerians—especially women—down if re-elected in 2027. We trust him. We also proudly stand with the First Lady, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her tireless work in women empowerment and rural development. Fellow Nigerians, Tinubu 2027 is a done deal.”

ADC chieftain and publisher, Dele Momodu, has dismissed calls for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to withdraw from the 2027 presidential race, describing the push as unfair and politically motivated.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Momodu was reacting to comments by activist Zekeri Idris Jnr, a supporter of Peter Obi, who urged Atiku to step aside over concerns about his age, which would be about 80 by 2027.

In a post on his X handle on Saturday, Momodu said attention should be focused on holding the government accountable rather than targeting Atiku’s political ambition.

The exchange followed a viral video where Idris insisted that Atiku should support younger aspirants instead of contesting, arguing that voters would not back an elderly candidate.

Idris also suggested that Atiku should act as a statesman and support younger politicians such as Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and others.

Responding, Momodu cited several world leaders who held office at advanced ages, arguing that experience should not be dismissed in leadership discussions.
