Rap Icon Fat Joe Sued for Sex Trafficking and Fraud in Bombshell Lawsuit

American rapper Fat Joe has been named in a new lawsuit filed in New York, accusing him of sex trafficking and financial fraud.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

A 157-page lawsuit was filed on June 19 in the Southern District of New York by attorney Tyrone Blackburn, representing Terrance “T. A.” Dixon. Dixon claims he collaborated closely with rapper Fat Joe — whose legal name is Joseph Cartagena — for over 15 years.

According to the suit, Dixon worked from 2005 to 2020 as a hype man, lyricist, background vocalist, member of the security team, and creative partner.

The complaint accuses Cartagena and his associates of engaging in “coercive labor exploitation, financial fraud, sexual manipulation, violent intimidation, and psychological coercion.”

Dixon alleges he provided creative input, including lyrics and vocals, on tracks like “Congratulations” and “Ice Cream,” but was never properly credited or compensated.

The lawsuit further claims that Dixon was subjected to degrading treatment, including being coerced into sexual acts under pressure and surveillance. He says he was threatened with losing his job, being stranded overseas, or facing physical harm if he didn’t comply.

More seriously, Dixon accuses Fat Joe and his associates of involvement in child trafficking. He claims to have personally witnessed the rapper engage in sexual acts with minors aged 15 and 16.

Due to the sensitive and disturbing nature of the allegations, the lawsuit includes a trigger warning for graphic sexual content and references to sexual assault.

Dixon is seeking more than $2 million in unpaid wages for performances, along with other damages.

In response, Fat Joe’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, denied all claims, calling the lawsuit a retaliatory move. He noted that Cartagena had previously filed a civil suit in April against both Dixon and Blackburn.

“This lawsuit is nothing more than a retaliatory stunt — a desperate distraction from the civil case we filed first, which revealed their coordinated effort to extort Mr. Cartagena with falsehoods, intimidation, and fabricated claims,” Tacopina said.

Tacopina characterized Dixon as a “disgruntled former employee” and accused attorney Tyrone Blackburn of exploiting the judicial system for personal gain.

“We didn’t just take legal action against a former employee resurrecting baseless claims from 15 years ago — we went after the lawyer orchestrating the entire scheme,” Tacopina stated.

He further alleged that Blackburn has “a well-established history of misusing the courts to harass defendants and attract media coverage.”

“Mr. Cartagena will not be intimidated. We’ve taken legal steps to expose this fraudulent effort and ensure all parties involved are held accountable,” Tacopina asserted.

In response, attorney Tyrone Blackburn dismissed Tacopina’s remarks in a statement to ABC News.

“Joe Tacopina is grasping at straws. He acted out of self-interest when he misguidedly advised his client to pursue this path,” Blackburn said.

“Fat Joe is fully aware of his actions. My client worked closely with him for nearly two decades. He doesn’t use drugs or alcohol — his memory is clear, and we have the receipts. We also possess three more pages outlining additional acts of trafficking. Tacopina would do well to counsel his client to make the wise decision.”

Tacopina, known for representing high-profile clients including former U.S. President Donald Trump, faces Blackburn, who has previously represented figures like rapper T.I. and music producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins.

Dixon and Blackburn have until June 23 to formally respond to the civil suit filed by Cartagena, with a court hearing set for August 1.

Kwara PDP Protests As Govt Moves To Reopen Robbery Case Against Saraki, Others.

Published

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has strongly opposed reported moves by the state government to revisit the alleged Offa robbery case involving former Governor Abubakar Bukola Saraki and others.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

reports that the party made its position known during an emergency press conference in Ilorin on Friday, describing the development as politically motivated and unjust.

PDP spokesman, Comrade Olushola Adewara, said the alleged plan to reopen the case amounts to an attempt to politicise a matter that has already been concluded by the courts.

“I Was Denied Regular Jobs Because Of My Physique – Nkubi Explains Why He Chose Acting”.

He alleged that the move was targeted at dragging Saraki into a case in which, according to him, legal authorities had previously found no evidence linking him to the incident.

Adewara referenced earlier legal opinions from the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation, which reportedly stated that Saraki was not connected to the robbery case.

The party insisted that suspects in the case had already been prosecuted and convicted, with judgments upheld at appellate levels, while the matter is currently before the Supreme Court.

PDP urged Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to focus on governance rather than what it described as attempts to revive old political narratives.

It also called on security agencies to monitor the situation closely, warning that such actions could heighten political tension in the state.

The party further appealed to residents, especially families of victims in Offa, not to allow their pain to be used for political purposes.

A PDP chieftain and convener of The Alternative, Otunba Segun Showunmi, has declared his intention to contest the 2027 Ogun State governorship election.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

reports that Showunmi made the announcement during a courtesy visit to the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) secretariat in Abeokuta on Friday.

He called for a broad political coalition involving opposition parties and grassroots groups to challenge what he described as the failures of dominant political forces in the state.

Showunmi argued that political parties may choose or endorse candidates, but insisted such arrangements must not deny voters a genuine electoral choice.

He said: “I will be running for governor in the 2027 governorship election. I have come to plead with you to set up a small committee… to determine how we can collaborate to make this happen.”

He also questioned whether Ogun State would experience a “coronation” or a competitive election process, urging stakeholders to allow open political contest.

The PDP chieftain noted that Ogun West’s long-standing exclusion from producing a governor is a legitimate grievance, but stressed that aspirations must still be tested through competition.

He advocated issue-based campaigns ahead of 2027, rejecting “money politics” and challenging aspirants to public debates on governance.

Showunmi maintained that he has no history of violence or political thuggery, insisting the election should be centred on ideas and development plans for the state.

In response, IPAC leadership and other political actors at the event called for collaboration and careful selection of leaders ahead of the 2027 elections.
