According to the EFCC, the alleged offences occurred in Abuja between October 29 and December 31, 2024. The anti-graft agency claimed that the accused converted N1,192,234,627 in public funds from the Bauchi State Sub-Treasury Account at United Bank for Africa (Account No. 1018819396) into the account of Jasfad Resources Enterprise (Account No. 1023444660), also at UBA.

In addition, between January 3 and March 14, 2025, the defendants were alleged to have laundered another N296,191,000 through the same channel.

These acts, the EFCC stated, violate Section 18(2)(b) and are punishable under Section 18(3) of the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.
