This was disclosed by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, during a media briefing in Abuja to commemorate the 2025 African Public Service Day and Civil Service Week.

Walson-Jack noted that the digital transformation is in line with the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP) 2021–2025, which concludes at the end of this year.

“Even before I assumed office, the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation had already gone paperless,” she said. “We are now intensifying efforts to roll out this transformation across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).”

She revealed that just last week, the Federal Ministry of Health became the 11th ministry to adopt the Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS), marking its official transition to a paperless operation. “Other ministries are at different stages of implementation,” she added.

According to Walson-Jack, the federal government has also secured partnerships to financially support the digital migration of several MDAs. “The countdown to December 31, 2025, has begun, and with dedication and divine support, we aim to achieve a completely paperless civil service by then.”

She also outlined the schedule of events for the African Public Service Day and Civil Service Week, noting that efforts are underway to attract international attention and engagement.

Walson-Jack further highlighted a recent fact-finding mission to Singapore, supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), which included 20 State Heads of Service. The trip, she said, was aimed at benchmarking global best practices and enhancing the efficiency of Nigeria’s civil service.

“This study tour was the first major initiative under our collaborative platform involving the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation and the Heads of Service of the 36 states and the FCT,” she said. “It’s part of our broader vision to foster intergovernmental knowledge exchange and elevate public service delivery nationwide.”

APC Fires Back at Adeleke Over ₦300bn LG Funds Allegation, Blames Governor for Salary Crisis....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to claims by Governor Ademola Adeleke that local government officials under the party diverted about ₦300 billion meant for workers’ salaries.

Adeleke had made the allegation during a stakeholders’ meeting, accusing APC-controlled council officials of hijacking funds and forcing the state government to shoulder salary payments for local government workers, teachers, health staff, and pensioners for over a year.

He insisted he would not abandon workers, blaming the situation for delays in executing some state projects.

But in a statement, APC’s Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, dismissed the claims, accusing the governor of misleading the public and shifting blame.

The party alleged that Adeleke was responsible for the salary issues, claiming he refused to release electronic payment vouchers and other financial documents needed for processing payments.

APC also said pension-related records, leave bonuses, cooperative deductions, and other financial data had not been made available despite repeated appeals, insisting that funds were properly accounted for and available for use if approved.

The party urged pensioners and workers to seek clarification, insisting the situation could be resolved if the governor allowed due process to take place.
