“Durbar is not what makes Sallah meaningful. What truly matters is unity and faith. Watching Sanusi walk among the people today was everything to us,” said Saminu Yusuf, a Dala resident.

He noted that the festival symbolizes “sacrifice, obedience, and complete submission to Allah’s will.” He also prayed for the safe return of Kano pilgrims and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to accountability and development.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero held a separate Eid prayer session at 8:00 a.m. at the Nasarawa Mini Palace on State Road in the Nasarawa GRA. The event also drew a large crowd, including prominent members of the All Progressives Congress, such as the state APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, and several former state commissioners.

He warned against dragging the state into fresh tension, accusing the state government of attempting to revive old allegations for political advantage.

Adewara said the PDP would not remain silent while what he called “political narratives” are used to influence public perception around a tragic incident that claimed multiple lives in Offa in 2018.
