In his 2025 Eid-el-Kabir message on Thursday, the President acknowledged the hardships faced by citizens but expressed optimism that the country is now on a path to recovery.

“We may not yet be where we aspire to be, but I urge all Nigerians not to lose hope. Let us hold on to our faith and persevere,” Tinubu said. “Our reforms are beginning to gain traction, with key economic indicators showing positive movement. Soon, every Nigerian will begin to feel the benefits.”

He emphasized that the ultimate goal of these reforms is not merely statistical improvement but tangible transformation in the lives of the people.

“There are no quick fixes. However, we are committed to rebuilding the foundation of our economy in a way that ensures long-term sustainability. Our actions remain guided by the national interest, and we will ensure that the gains we’re achieving translate into real improvements in people’s lives,” he added.

The President also used the occasion to call for continued prayers for the nation’s armed forces and security personnel, who, he said, are making daily sacrifices to secure the country.

“As we celebrate Eid, let us remember and pray for our frontline officers who risk their lives for our safety. Let us also pray for our leaders, our nation, and for peace in a world increasingly defined by uncertainty,” Tinubu said.

Reflecting on the deeper meaning of Eid-el-Kabir, the President urged Nigerians to embrace the festival’s core values of sacrifice, devotion, selflessness, and compassion. He pointed to Prophet Ibrahim’s example as a guiding light for national renewal and unity.

“Eid reminds us that beyond our faith, we have civic responsibilities—to show resilience, compassion, tolerance, and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s progress,” he stated.
