In his message to mark the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, President Tinubu extended warm greetings to Nigerian Muslims and the global Ummah, urging citizens to reflect on the deeper meaning of the festival — one rooted in sacrifice, devotion, and selflessness.
“Eid-el-Kabir represents the spiritual climax of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, a time for worship, gratitude, and compassion. While the celebration brings joy, its true essence lies in emulating the obedience and faith of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),” Tinubu said.
He emphasized that beyond religious observance, the Eid is a reminder of the collective duty to demonstrate resilience, tolerance, compassion, and dedication to national progress.
Acknowledging the difficulties Nigerians have faced, the President praised the determination of both public and private sector leaders and the patience of the people.
“The journey has not been easy. Some questioned our path, but together—with perseverance and shared sacrifice—we are beginning to see results. The most difficult days are behind us, and a brighter horizon is within reach,” he noted.
President Tinubu assured Nigerians that ongoing economic reforms are gaining traction and that the focus remains not just on improving economic metrics, but on transforming lives and building a stronger, more sustainable future.
“We may not be where we want to be yet, but we are making progress. I ask Nigerians to hold on to hope and faith. The ultimate goal is not abstract reform—it is a better life for every citizen. There are no shortcuts, but we are laying solid foundations to secure lasting prosperity.”
He concluded by reaffirming his administration’s commitment to acting in the nation’s best interest and ensuring that economic recovery translates into real improvements for all Nigerians.
