In addition, Mr. Bonaventure Okhaimo was named Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NCGC. Other significant appointments at NCGC approved by Tinubu include Mrs. Tinoula Aigwedo as Executive Director of Strategy and Operations, Dr. Ezekiel Oseni as Executive Director of Risk Management, and Ms. Yeside Kazeem, an experienced actuarial expert, as Independent Non-Executive Director. Reports indicate that President Tinubu has backed the NCGC with an initial funding of ₦100 billion. The organization’s primary goal is to reduce the risks involved in lending and to improve financial access for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), small businesses, manufacturers, consumers, and larger companies across Nigeria. Meanwhile, Dogara recently urged Nigerians to grant President Tinubu a second chance. During a public lecture held in honor of Archbishop John Praise’s 65th birthday, Dogara praised the President’s courageous decisions aimed at strengthening the nation’s economy. Acknowledging the hardships Nigerians face daily due to the President’s policies, especially regarding subsidy reforms, Dogara emphasized that “no decision comes without pain.”

Onor, who was the PDP governorship candidate in Cross River State during the 2023 elections, reportedly obtained the party’s presidential nomination form from the faction aligned with Wike at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja. He is an ally of the FCT Minister and is believed to be the first aspirant to pick the PDP presidential form ahead of the 2027 general elections. The former lawmaker represented Cross River Central Senatorial District between 2019 and 2023.
