The generous act began when a viral challenge on X (formerly Twitter) urged users to tag celebrities who might send them ₦1 million. A user, Adeyemi Adejoke Abidemi, tweeting as #PopoolaJoke4, tagged Don Jazzy, expressing admiration and calling him her dream celebrity.
Responding warmly, the Mavin Records boss asked for her bank details. Shortly after, Adeyemi shared a screenshot showing a ₦1 million credit alert from Don Jazzy, expressing overwhelming gratitude.
The gesture became even more impactful when Don Jazzy noticed her initial account balance stood at only ₦67.29. Touched by this, he proceeded to send her an additional ₦5 million, bringing the total amount to ₦6 million.
In her emotional appreciation message, Adeyemi thanked Don Jazzy for the life-changing support, praying for continued blessings and success in his life.
When a user questioned why she had so little money, she responded that none of her other accounts had up to ₦1, confirming only her GTBank account had the ₦67 balance.
Meanwhile, fellow artist Crown Uzama, aka Shallipopi, joined in the generosity. He gave ₦1 million each to two fans in light-hearted exchanges while promoting his latest album.
One fan, Samuel Uchechukwu Ifesinachi, lamented not having money for a speaker. Shallipopi replied, offering ₦1 million if he would buy a JBL speaker, and followed through after receiving account details.
Another user, Anirah Gabriel, reminded Shallipopi of an earlier playful conversation about receiving money. This led to another ₦1 million transfer from the singer, confirmed with a screenshot.
These surprise acts of generosity drew widespread admiration from fans, sparking positive conversations across social media about the artists’ humility and kindness.
