Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Olukoyede emphasized that no political party — whether the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) or opposition groups like the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), or New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) — will be spared in the anti-corruption campaign.

According to him, “If we discover that you have stolen money, you will have questions to answer, whether you belong to APC, PDP, Labour Party, SDP, or NNPP. Our focus is not on party lines, but on facts and evidence.”

He reiterated that the EFCC’s operations are guided strictly by law and integrity. “We are mandated to do the right thing. The real issue is not about political loyalty, but whether an offence has been committed,” Olukoyede said.

He further stressed his impartiality, noting, “I am apolitical. I belong to no political party. To the best of my knowledge, our operations have not been compromised or influenced by any political interest. We are simply doing our job.”

He said the initiative is part of efforts to strengthen climate resilience, tackle environmental degradation, and promote sustainable land use in the state.

Speaking at the ACReSAL mid-term review meeting in Kaduna through the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Abubakar Buba, the governor explained that the use of geospatial tools has made it possible to accurately identify affected areas for targeted intervention.

He also approved an amendment extending the lifespan of the 2025 budget from March 31 to June 30, 2026, to ensure completion of ongoing capital projects nationwide.

Under the 2026 fiscal plan, ₦4.799 trillion is set aside for statutory transfers, ₦15.8 trillion for debt servicing, ₦15.4 trillion for recurrent spending, while ₦32.2 trillion goes to capital projects—about half of the total budget.
