Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Olukoyede dismissed claims that the EFCC is being used to target opposition figures. Instead, he emphasized that President Tinubu has consistently shown interest only in the effective performance of government institutions and their leaders.

Olukoyede stated that the President remains focused on accountability and service delivery, urging stakeholders and the public to acknowledge the President’s results-driven leadership.

“I believe Nigerians need to understand the kind of leader we have in President Tinubu. This isn’t just about my role—I’m speaking from experience,” said Olukoyede. “Those who interact closely with him, whether in the Federal Executive Council or as heads of agencies, know that his priority is results. Every interaction revolves around one question: ‘What have you achieved?’ ‘How much has been recovered?’”

He further noted that distractions from political noise should not overshadow the President’s focus. “People are trying to derail the government’s efforts, but those close to him will tell you—President Tinubu only wants to hear about performance,” he added.
