Kano State Approves N51.5 Billion for Infrastructure and Public Services
The Kano State Executive Council has sanctioned a budget of N51.5 billion for essential infrastructure and public service projects across the state. This decision was revealed in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, on Tuesday.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Among the key allocations, N5.4 billion will be directed towards the rehabilitation and resurfacing of major roads, including the stretch from Mumbayya House to Tal’udu Junction, Gadon Kaya, Yahaya Gusau Road, and Sharada Road. Additionally, N3.4 billion has been earmarked for the installation of wireless solar-powered traffic lights in the Kano metropolitan area as part of the Urban Renewal Programme.
The Executive Council also approved further funding for the construction of roads linking Miller Road to Mission Road, as well as the renovation of significant public facilities, including the Kano Educational Resources Department and the Governor’s Lodge in Kaduna.
In a bid to enhance the state’s infrastructure, N1.46 billion has been allocated for the upgrading and modernization of the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy’s office, located in the Sharada Phase I Industrial Layout.
These approvals reflect the state government’s commitment to sustainable urban development and the enhancement of public service delivery, ensuring long-term benefits for the people of Kano.
