Published

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has convened an emergency session at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja to address the recent wave of defections affecting the party’s ranks.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The meeting, being held behind closed doors, comes in the wake of the significant defections of the party’s former vice-presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa, and Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, who both joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) last week. Their defection has resulted in a collapse of the PDP’s structure in Delta State, as local political leaders, including Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme and numerous state commissioners, have also switched allegiance to APC.

Political analysts suggest that this mass defection has left the opposition party reeling, with the loss of critical leadership in a key state. It remains to be seen how PDP will respond to the crisis, which has left the party deeply divided. The PDP’s internal challenges are compounded by ongoing struggles within its leadership, further destabilizing the once-powerful opposition force.

He noted that the player’s condition requires careful management, adding that some members of the squad are also dealing with fatigue and minor injuries.

If Vitinha is unavailable, Fabián Ruiz could step back into midfield. The Spaniard recently returned from injury, featuring briefly in PSG’s 2-1 defeat to Olympique Lyonnais.

Enrique acknowledged that Ruiz still needs more match time to regain full fitness, though he expressed satisfaction with his progress so far.

The former FC Barcelona and Spain coach also challenged his squad to raise their performance levels, despite the club’s ongoing pursuit of domestic and European success.

Teen forward Ibrahim Mbaye was omitted from the previous match, with Enrique stressing that players must make the most of every opportunity and meet higher expectations.
