Residents of Musukwani in Jakara, located within Kano Municipal Local Government Area, are living in fear following the mysterious disappearance of two young boys believed to have gone missing inside a deep ditch in the neighborhood.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The unsettling events, which locals suspect may involve supernatural forces, have triggered widespread panic. Eyewitnesses reported that the latest incident occurred on Monday, April 21, 2025, when one boy removed his clothes and wallet — containing money — and handed them to nearby people before entering the ditch. He never returned.

“We were sitting here when the boy came, took off his clothes and wallet, and asked us to hold them for him. He said he wanted to check something in the ditch. He never came back, even overnight. His belongings are still with us,” said Abdul Basit Yusha’u Safiyanu to DAILY POST.

This disappearance follows a similar case involving another boy, Dan Sani, who also entered the ditch with a friend and vanished without a trace days earlier.

Musa Hamza, a local leader and uncle to Dan Sani, expressed deep concern. “My nephew, about 12 years old, entered the ditch while his friend waited outside. When he didn’t return, we searched everywhere, even the mortuary — but found nothing. Even fire service officials struggled inside the ditch,” he lamented.

Responding to the latest emergency, the Kano State Fire Service said they received a distress call at 3:55 p.m. on April 21. Their team quickly arrived at the scene but could not locate the missing boys, according to spokesperson Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi.

Meanwhile, many residents believe the ditch has a dark history, with repeated mysterious events sparking theories of paranormal involvement.

Fearing for their safety, the people of Jakara are calling on the Kano State Government and emergency agencies to intervene urgently to prevent further tragedies.

“People are terrified; we can’t sleep peacefully anymore,” a resident said.

As of now, the fate of the missing boys remains unknown, and the community anxiously awaits action from authorities.

He warned against dragging the state into fresh tension, accusing the state government of attempting to revive old allegations for political advantage.

Adewara said the PDP would not remain silent while what he called “political narratives” are used to influence public perception around a tragic incident that claimed multiple lives in Offa in 2018.

He also urged residents, especially affected families, not to allow their pain to be used for political gains, insisting it is unjust to associate Saraki with the crime.

The party further alleged that the move is aimed at distracting attention from governance challenges in the state.
