PDP Will Rise Again – Elder Amah Vows to Lead Party Back to Glory
The Abia State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reaffirmed its commitment to reclaiming political dominance in the state and across Nigeria by 2027.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
During a stakeholders’ meeting held at the residence of Mandela Obasi, who represents Ohafia North in the Abia State House of Assembly, PDP State Chairman Elder Abraham Amah urged party members to remain loyal and vigilant. He stressed that under his leadership, any attempt to undermine or “sell” the party would not go unpunished.
“We have what it takes to win again. If we field candidates truly chosen by the people, we will take back the majority in the House of Assembly and beyond. Anyone plotting against the party will face the consequences,” Amah warned.
The meeting, which drew influential figures such as Ukpai Ukairo (PDP Legal Adviser, South East), Okechukwu Asuoha (Deputy National Legal Adviser), Okereke Elendu (Abia North PDP Chairman), Uko Nkole (former Rep for Arochukwu), and Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ndubuisi (Bende South), focused on party unity and strategy.
Despite recent defections, leaders reaffirmed the PDP’s strong grassroots structure and status as Nigeria’s most democratic party. A communiqué signed by 40 loyal members expressed full support for Elder Amah’s leadership and the efforts of the State Working Committee to revitalize the party.
“We pledge total loyalty to Elder Amah and his administration. We are determined to bring the PDP back to the Abia State Government House in 2027,” the statement read.
The party also announced plans to form local strategy and reconciliation committees across Abia North. These bodies will address internal disputes, harmonize interests, and prepare a united front for future elections.
Leaders called on party members—especially youths and women—to engage more actively in party affairs, emphasizing inclusive leadership and generational synergy. They also urged PDP lawmakers in the Abia State Assembly to uphold their oversight roles and act as true ambassadors of the party.
The message from the gathering was clear: unity, grassroots engagement, and internal discipline will be the pillars of the PDP’s return to power in Abia and beyond.
