Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared that the ruling party is enjoying internal peace and stability, unlike opposition parties currently grappling with internal conflicts. Ganduje made these remarks during the formal inauguration of the APC France Chapter’s new executive committee in Paris over the weekend. He noted that several senators, members of the House of Representatives, state lawmakers, and other influential political figures have defected to the APC due to its welcoming environment.

“There is peace in the APC, and unlike the turmoil in other parties, our party respects its constitution and upholds internal democracy,” Ganduje stated.

He urged Nigerians in the diaspora to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms and the Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing the importance of their support in driving the administration’s economic transformation efforts.

Ganduje commended the efforts of APC members abroad, acknowledging their role in expanding the party’s reach globally through active recruitment and mobilization. A statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, emphasized that although Tinubu’s reforms might be challenging, they are necessary for steering Nigeria toward sustainable economic development.

The APC chairman also reiterated the party’s commitment to collaborating with the National Assembly to ensure that diaspora voting becomes a reality, thereby enabling full political participation for Nigerians living overseas.

“We are grateful for your continued support in growing our party and promoting President Tinubu’s leadership, especially amid key national reforms,” Ganduje said. He added that there is now greater capital funding available, with evidence from both state governors and local government leaders.

Expressing confidence ahead of the 2027 polls, Ganduje highlighted the APC’s internal cohesion and the increasing number of defections as signs of growing momentum.

In her response, Hajjiya Amina Suzuki, the newly inaugurated Chairperson of APC France, emphasized the vital role Nigerians in the diaspora play—not only through remittances and investments—but also as political voices and ambassadors of Nigerian democracy.
