Edo PDP Blasts Dan Orbih, Labels Him a ‘Political Employee’ of APC
The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has firmly stated that Chief Dan Orbih is no longer affiliated with the party and lacks any authority to act on its behalf, including the donation or allocation of party property.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a press release issued by the Chairman of the PDP Caretaker Committee in Edo, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, the party dismissed recent claims made by Orbih regarding the donation of a new secretariat. According to the statement, the facility in question is not linked to the PDP but is instead under the ownership of the All Progressives Congress (APC)—the political party Orbih is now openly supporting.
The PDP clarified that Orbih’s membership officially ended on March 9, 2025, with Chief Emma Ogidi now serving as head of the South-South zonal Caretaker Committee. The party described Orbih’s recent public engagements as “theatrics” aimed at misleading the public and undermining party unity.
“We are compelled to respond due to numerous inquiries from party stakeholders, media houses, and citizens of Edo State,” the statement noted. “Chief Dan Orbih no longer has any affiliation with our party. He cannot rent, donate, or allocate any property in the name of Edo PDP.”
The statement further asserted that the so-called secretariat presented by Orbih is a deceptive ploy, adding that it is a property owned by the APC, where Orbih now functions as a “political employee.”
The Edo PDP urged the public to disregard Orbih’s actions and instead support the recognized leadership of the party. It stressed the unity and stability of the current Caretaker Committee and warned against distractions aimed at derailing the party’s efforts toward progress and development in the state.
Concluding the statement, the PDP emphasized that Orbih’s actions are a “desperate attempt to sow discord” and declared that his “record of political mischief is well-known.” The party reaffirmed its commitment to transparent leadership and called on members to remain focused on its developmental agenda for Edo State.

Atiku Opens Up On ADC 2027 Game Plan, Says Consensus Candidate Comes First.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will first pursue a consensus arrangement before considering a primary election for its 2027 presidential ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Atiku made this known during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday while discussing the party’s leadership and strategy ahead of the next general election.
He said he is open to backing a consensus candidate if that becomes the party’s collective decision, stressing that such support should not be interpreted as stepping aside.
“It is not about stepping aside, but whether I am willing to support, and yes, I will,” Atiku said.
According to him, the ADC’s first priority is to build internal unity and reach an agreement among stakeholders before considering a competitive primary process.
“Our first option will be to work out a consensus. If that doesn’t happen, then of course we will explore other options. And yes, I will support whoever eventually emerges,” he stated.
Atiku also expressed confidence in the political experience within the party, saying he believes a consensus is achievable and may make a full-scale primary contest unnecessary.
“That remains our preferred path. We will go for primaries if consensus fails, but I honestly do not expect it to get to that stage because we are dealing with mature and experienced politicians,” he added.
His comments come amid growing political consultations and coalition talks as parties begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
