Now serving as the Global Head of Soccer for Red Bull, Klopp will appear at the charity event as an honorary guest and speaker. The gala is scheduled just two days before Liverpool’s final Premier League game of the season against Crystal Palace, which he is also expected to attend at Anfield.
Expressing his excitement, Klopp said, “Everyone knows how much I value the work of the LFC Foundation. I look forward to celebrating their impact and helping raise vital funds to support their initiatives.”
Matt Parish, the Foundation’s CEO, lauded Klopp’s enduring support, stating, “Jurgen was a tremendous advocate during his time at Liverpool. We deeply appreciate his continued commitment and hope fans will join us for this special evening.”
Meanwhile, in a significant development for English football, the Premier League has officially secured five slots in the 2025–2026 UEFA Champions League. This follows England’s dominance in UEFA’s national coefficient rankings, which track club performances across European competitions.
England currently tops the rankings, surpassing football powerhouses Spain and Italy, who occupy second and third places respectively. This top position ensures England receives one of the two additional Champions League group-stage spots available to the highest-performing leagues.
Under UEFA’s updated Champions League format, these extra places are awarded based on a country’s overall success in European competitions during the previous season. Despite strong showings from Italy’s Inter, Lazio, and Fiorentina, England’s consistent performance—highlighted by Arsenal’s impressive recent victory over Real Madrid—has solidified its lead.
Even if all five Premier League clubs still active in European contests—Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea—were to lose their remaining matches, England’s lead remains unassailable. This outcome further cements the league’s position as Europe’s top-performing division for the season.
