Speaking on Sunday at the headquarters of Operation SAFE HAVEN in Jos, Ribadu lamented the continuous loss of innocent lives and displacement of residents—particularly women and children—as a result of recurring clashes in the region.
“This must stop. Enough is enough,” Ribadu stated firmly, stressing that Nigeria cannot allow minor provocations to escalate into widespread crises.
He assured that the federal government is fully committed to ending the bloodshed and restoring lasting peace in affected communities.
The NSA also highlighted major national progress in the fight against terrorism and criminality, revealing that violence and related deaths have dropped by more than 90% across Nigeria. He added that nearly 2,000 terrorists have been prosecuted over the past year as part of ongoing security efforts.
Ribadu’s comments follow a resurgence of violent village attacks in Plateau, which have sparked outrage and calls for urgent federal intervention.
