Leandro Trossard gave the Gunners an early advantage with a well-placed strike following a swift counterattack, but the lead was short-lived. Everton responded shortly after the break when Iliman Ndiaye converted a penalty awarded after Myles Lewis-Skelly was adjudged to have fouled Jack Harrison in the box. Despite a lengthy VAR check, Ndiaye calmly slotted past David Raya to equalise.
With the draw, Arsenal now trail league leaders Liverpool by 11 points, and the Reds have a game in hand. Jurgen Klopp’s side needs just 11 points from their remaining eight fixtures to mathematically secure the title.

Arteta brought on Ødegaard in a late push for victory, but the Norwegian and stand-in striker Mikel Merino both failed to capitalise on promising opportunities, missing the target from good positions.
Everton, meanwhile, extended their solid run of form, having suffered just one defeat in their last 11 league outings — a heated Merseyside derby loss to Liverpool midweek. The Toffees now climb to 14th on the table, sitting comfortably 15 points above the relegation zone.
Though the draw may have frustrated Arsenal, it proved beneficial to Liverpool, who move one step closer to securing the Premier League crown, thanks in part to a resilient Everton performance.
