Suspected Herdsmen Kill Boys Brigade Member During Camp in Abuja
A young Igala graduate, John Johnson, has tragically lost his life after being allegedly killed by suspected herdsmen in Zaina, near Angwar Hakimi, Orozo, located within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The incident occurred on Friday while Johnson was attending a Boys’ Brigade camp. It was revealed that Johnson had suffered the loss of his father in 2024 after a long battle with illness.
This death comes just after the arrest of gospel singer Timilehin Ajayi by the Nasarawa State Police Command. Ajayi is accused of murdering his girlfriend, Salome Enejo, a member of the National Youth Service Corps, for alleged ritualistic reasons in the same area of Orozo, under Nasarawa State jurisdiction.
The Chief of Igala in Orozo, Amadu Zachariah, confirmed the killing, expressing deep regret over the senseless attack. He noted that no arrests have been made as of yet.
Details shared by Zachariah revealed that the Boys’ Brigade group, due to the threat of rain, relocated their camp to a nearby church. Two leaders returned to collect their belongings when the ambush took place. One leader escaped, but Johnson was killed. The police later discovered that the herdsmen residing nearby had fled the area.
A statement from Fortress Ministry, Abuja, officially announced the tragic death of Bro. John Johnson Enyo-Ojo, describing him as a martyr for his unwavering faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The ministry expressed sorrow over his loss while requesting prayers for his family.
At the time of reporting, attempts to contact the FCT Police Command for further clarification were unsuccessful.

Atiku Opens Up On ADC 2027 Game Plan, Says Consensus Candidate Comes First.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will first pursue a consensus arrangement before considering a primary election for its 2027 presidential ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Atiku made this known during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday while discussing the party’s leadership and strategy ahead of the next general election.
He said he is open to backing a consensus candidate if that becomes the party’s collective decision, stressing that such support should not be interpreted as stepping aside.
“It is not about stepping aside, but whether I am willing to support, and yes, I will,” Atiku said.
According to him, the ADC’s first priority is to build internal unity and reach an agreement among stakeholders before considering a competitive primary process.
“Our first option will be to work out a consensus. If that doesn’t happen, then of course we will explore other options. And yes, I will support whoever eventually emerges,” he stated.
Atiku also expressed confidence in the political experience within the party, saying he believes a consensus is achievable and may make a full-scale primary contest unnecessary.
“That remains our preferred path. We will go for primaries if consensus fails, but I honestly do not expect it to get to that stage because we are dealing with mature and experienced politicians,” he added.
His comments come amid growing political consultations and coalition talks as parties begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
