Suspected Ritualist Arrested for Allegedly Abducting 3-Year-Old Girl in Katsina
The Katsina State Police Command has apprehended a 22-year-old suspected ritualist, Salahudeen Jafar, for allegedly abducting a three-year-old girl, identified as Fatima Bashir, in Danja Town.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to police sources, the incident occurred around 7:00 a.m. on Friday when a distress call alerted authorities that Jafar, from Mataha Village in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, had taken the young girl under suspicious circumstances.
Local residents, upon noticing the situation, raised an alarm and confronted Jafar, subjecting him to mob action before police intervened.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Danja mobilized a team to the scene, rescued the suspect from the mob, and took him into custody.
Investigation Underway
The Katsina State Police Command has assured the public that a thorough investigation is ongoing to determine Jafar’s motives and ascertain whether he is linked to any criminal network.
The authorities urged the public to remain calm and avoid taking the law into their own hands, as the police are committed to ensuring justice and maintaining public safety.
